Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery near Fulton. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
Shirley was born on February 17, 1936 in Mammoth Springs, Arkansas to Neil and Mattie Shirley Clasby who preceded her in death. She was married to James W. McVeigh on January 19, 1964 in Fulton and he survives.
She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and she was a wonderful artist who especially enjoyed watercolor painting. She also loved music and singing with her family.
Shirley worked for thirty years as a Medical Assistant in the Fulton area.
She is also survived by three daughters, JoDonna Edwards of Russellville, Missouri, Sharon (Larry) Bramon of Monroe, Georgia and Carole Wells of Fulton; one son, James (Nikki) Guerrant of Evergreen, Colorado; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Shirley was also preceded in death by brother, Doy Clasby and sister, Dorothy Prince.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ebenezer Baptist Church in care of Debo Funeral Home, 833 Court Street, Fulton, Missouri 65251.
