Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Burial will follow in Callaway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from noon until time of services at the funeral home.
Mildred was born March 1, 1930, in McCredie to Clair and Lela Neyman Atkinson, and they preceded her in death.
She began her teaching career at the age of 19 and retired as a junior high school math teacher for Fulton Public Schools in 1980.
Mildred was a member of Parkade Baptist Church in Columbia and G.F.W.C.
She was a board member for Missouri Girls Town for many years and worked part time for the United States Census Bureau for over 50 years.
She was an avid bridge player who enjoyed the many friendships of all those she met while playing the game.
She is survived by her daughter, Roberta Cooke of Columbia, and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Donald Cooke; brother, Robert Atkinson; and sister, Betty Jones.
