Lesa was born on March 28, 1963 in Mexico, MO the daughter of James “Kenny” and Joanna (White) Goodman who preceded her in death. She graduated from Fulton High School in 1981. On August 27, 1985 in Calwood, MO she was united in marriage to Stephen Swartwood. In 2017, she retired from Fulton State Hospital. Lesa enjoyed making crafts, jellies and breads and taking it to the Fulton Farmers Market. Her and Steve liked going to auctions and were very proud of their Planeview Farm. She was passionate about decorating for every holiday and spending time with her family and attending family gatherings.
Survivors include her husband, Stephen Swartwood of the home; two sons, Paul Goodman of Fulton, MO and James Swartwood of Fulton, MO; two daughters, Kayla Swartwood of Fulton, MO and Shawna Hicks (Luke) of Mexico, MO; her biological father, Virgil Null (Vicki) of Vandalia, MO; two brothers, Terry Sparks of Moberly, MO and Curt Null of Iowa; one sister, Kelly Hendricks; eight grandchildren, Audrey, Alina, Raelyn, Michael, Cloe, Nate, Fenton and Oren and her mother-in-law, Nellie Swartwood of Fulton, MO.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Debo Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Burial will be in White Cloud Cemetery, Fulton, MO.
