Jerry Wayne Schmidt

Jerry was born on September 8, 1948 in Mexico, MO the son of Harry and Iva May (Grisham) Schmidt who preceded him in death. On February 3, 1973, he was united in marriage to Betty (Alexander) Schmidt who preceded him in death on July 3, 2018. He was a veteran of the US Army from 1968 – 1970, receiving a purple heart. Jerry worked for several years as a heating and air conditioning technician. He enjoyed being with his family and friends and will be missed.

Survivors include: two daughters, Tina Brandow of Fulton, MO and Leslie Schmidt of Fulton, MO; two sons, Alex Schmidt (Tiffany) of Fulton, MO and Larry Fletcher of Kansas; three brothers, Floyd Schmidt, Leonard Schmidt and Harry Schmidt; two sisters, Linda Donahue and Mary Humphrey; two grandchildren, Marah Brandow and Keaton Brandow (Maya) and two great-grandchildren, Wayne Porter and Raleigh Brandow. He was also preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Maeleigh Brandow; two brothers, Robert Schmidt and Roger Schmidt and two sisters, Patty Plasted and Peggy Maylee.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Callaway Memorial Gardens in Fulton, MO with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating.
