Tom was born on February 7, 1937 in Columbia, MO the son of Russell and Jewell (Ballenger) Criswell who preceded him in death. On March 1, 2018 he retired from Fulton State Hospital, where he worked in security for several years. He had a passion for the outdoors, spending countless hours fly fishing and fly tying. Tom also cherished spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Survivors include: two children, Russell Criswell of Kansas City, MO and Cynthia Criswell of New Bloomfield, MO; three sisters, Louise Trammell (Don) of New Bloomfield, MO, Linda Ferguson (Don) of Jefferson City, MO and Evelyn Thomas (Keith) of New Bloomfield, MO; two grandchildren, Jessica Sage (Sergio Argueta) of Mifflinburg, PA and Patrick Staab of Kansas City, MO and one great-grandchild, Bradyn Sage.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Debo Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
