Brenda was born on February 26, 1957 in Fulton, MO the daughter of James and Agnes (Tate) Kelley who preceded her in death. She was married in 1978 in Fulton, MO to David Gilmore, he resides in Jefferson City, MO. She later married Lenny Carter in Mountain Grove, MO, where he resides. Brenda attended Fulton public schools. Brenda graduated from nursing school in 1991 as an LPN. She worked for 27 years at Green Meadows Family Practice in Columbia, MO as a LPN. She was a member of Fulton Church of Christ and was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed motorcycle riding, cheering on the KC Chiefs, playing bingo, watching WWE and collecting eagles and minions.
Survivors include: two sons, Brian Gilmore (Frannie) of Williamsburg, MO and David Lee Gilmore (Jasmine) of Camdenton, MO; daughter-in-law, Tiffany Gilmore of Fulton, MO; two sisters, Linda Hook (David) of Williamsburg, MO and Sandra Carter of Fulton, MO; one brother, James Robert Kelley Jr (Linda) of Osceola, IA; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was also preceded in death by her son, Robert Gilmore and one niece, Beverly Nevins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023 from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton, MO. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor David Coleman officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Fulton, MO.
