Susan Kay Fleming

Susan Kay Fleming July 4, 1942 - October 19, 2015 On October 19, the gates of heaven opened and God reached out his loving arms to take Sue home. She was 73 years young, living life to the fullest in Chino Hills, CA. Sue was born to George and Doris Ridenour of Oelwein, Iowa. She is survived by her brother Kent. Her three children; Ron, Christine, and Stephanie. Her five grand children; Jimmy, Travis, Ali, Dylan and Brooklyn. Her nephew, Michael and niece, Heather. Sue's family moved to Downey, CA when she was six. She graduated from Warren High School and Long Beach State with her Bachelor's in Geography and her Teaching Degree, along with a Master's in Education Administration from California State University Fullerton. Sue enjoyed her many years of teaching, moving on to her favorite position as a Curriculum Coordinator, before becoming an Assistant Principal and Principal. She retired from Rialto Unified School District in 2004. After her retirement, Sue continued to tutor many students throughout the past eleven years, along with volunteering weekly at Oak Ridge Elementary. During the past many years Sue has enjoyed traveling the world and the States with her friends and family. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grand children. An avid sports enthusiast, Grandma Sue never missed a game! Her immense love for her family and friends was evident in everything that she did and all that she gave to the many people's lives she has touched. She will always be loved and never forgotten! Please join us in a celebration of Sue's life. Memorial service will be held Sunday, October 25th from 1-3 at McAulay & Wallace Mortuary, 18311 Lemon Dr., Yorba Linda, CA 92886. Graveside service will be held Monday, October 26th at 11:00.
