Siobhan Eileen O'Connor

Siobhan Eileen O’Connor passed away on July 2, 2017 at Sunrise Senior Living in Fullerton, CA where she had lived for two years.  She was born on May 17, 1961 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the youngest of six children of Helen and Thomas O’Connor.  She worked for many years at the 29 Palms and Yucca Valley campuses of Desert Arc, and later at Goodwill Industries of Orange County in Santa Ana.  She was an enthusiastic bowler and multi-sport Special Olympian.  She served as primary caregiver for her mother prior to her mother's passing.  Siobhan loved her family, her music and pets, and was always happiest when helping others in need.  She is survived by her sister, four brothers, two aunts, an uncle and many nieces and nephews and cousins whose lives she enriched beyond measure.  Family and friends held a  Celebration of Siobhan's Life at Sunrise Senior Living of Fullerton at 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 12th.  A Requeim Mass will be held on August 18, 2017 at Blessed Sacrament , 6785 Sage Avenue, Twentynine Palms, CA 92277 at 9:00 AM. Interment at Riverside National Cemetery will be private.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be directed to Southern California Special Olympics or UCI Down Syndrome/Alzheimer's Disease Research program (ADRC).
