Ronald Richard Hayes

Ronald Richard Hayes, age 78, of Placentia, California, passed away peacefully at his home on May 23, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary; his son and daughter in law, Ronald and Sharon; daughters, Sheryl and Kristyn; granddaughters, Brooke and Brianna; brother, Donald and sister, Linda Burk. Ron was born in Santa Monica, California on February 20, 1937 to Fielding and Virginia Hayes. After growing up in Southern California, Ron joined the United States Air Force. While stationed at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, he met his lovely wife, Mary Rose Shaughnessy. They married seven months after they met and had their son a year later. After his service in the Air Force, Ron took his new family back to Southern California. Ron and Mary settled down and had two more daughters to complete their family. Ron worked for the Federal Aviation Administration as an Air Traffic Controller for 36 years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed immensely. Services were held on May 30, 2015 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Placentia, California. Graveside services followed immediately at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange, California.
