Mary Elizabeth Giangreco

Mary Giangreco of Yorba Linda born May 4, 1924 entered eternal life on January 8, 2017 at the age of 92. Mary was born in Rochester, New York and was one of twelve children.  She and her husband Tony were married April 8, 1950 and moved out to California shortly after, where they raised two daughters, Toni (Cooper) and Barbara (Baldo).  Mary’s career of over 40 years was in banking.  She also volunteered at the local hospital, was involved in Soroptimist, a Girl Scout leader and loved to sew, garden and decorate her home.  Mary is survived by her daughter, Barbara, son in law Joseph, her grandchildren Kristen and Jeffrey, daughter in law Julie and four great grandchildren, along with her brother Joe and sister Joan. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Tony, daughter Toni, son in law Tom, and grandchildren Bryan and Nicole.  A mass to celebrate Mary’s life will be held at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Yorba Linda on Wednesday, January 18th at 11:30 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Martin’s Outreach to help those less fortunate.
