James Frances Sims

Sims, James Francis went to be with Lord on June 13, 2016 at his home in Placentia. James was born December 8, 1926 in Heavener, Oklamhoma to Francis and Ellis Sims. He was an alumni of Valencia High School in Placentia and also served in the United States Army. He met and married Helen Miller in Germany while she was also serving in the military. They were married in 1948 and had two children, Nancy and Gary. James retired as Chief from the Placentia Fire Department after 30 years of service.     James is survived by his wife of 67 years, Helen, daughter, Nancy Sims (Terrigno) (Larry) both of Placentia. Also his three grandchildren, Chad Terrigno of Orange, Tami Sisson (Cody) of Eastvale, Ryan Terrigno (Jasmine) of Orange. Also great granddaughter Presley Quinn Sisson. Preceding him in death was his son Gary. No man was loved more by his family.   James will be missed by all who knew him. He was a very special man. A graveside service will be held Friday, June 17, 2016, 11:00 a.m. at Memory Garden Memorial Park in Brea.
