Gloria was born in the Philippines to Crispulo and Tarcila Mateo Bayba on January 25, 1937. Gloria met her husband at Subic Bay Naval Base in Olongapo where she worked as a babysitter, taking care of two young children, whose father was a medical doctor. They traveled extensively, due to his military career and had six children, which were later raised in Oxnard, California. Her beloved husband, Vernon, passed away in 1983. He left a legacy of unconditional love and devotion.
Gloria was a retired federal employee. She loved to play bingo with her friends, loved to travel to visit family in the Philippines, and visit her children and grandchildren that moved out of state or overseas.
