Bob, as he was known, graduated from Inglewood High School in 1964 after playing varsity baseball for four years as an honor student. In May of 1968, he graduated from UCLA with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Bob married JoAnne Klier Prill on December 28, 1987. He had a successful career in the aerospace industry working for TRW and JPL. He also owned a company representing telecom equipment for several years.
Bob was a long standing member of Orange County Wine Society serving as president and a board member for several years. He had a passion for wine, golf and UCLA athletics.
He was survived by his wife, JoAnne Klier Prill.
A funeral service for Fred will be held Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 11:00 AM at McAulay & Wallace Mortuary, 902 N Harbor Blvd, Fullerton, Ca 92832.
