Born to Abel and Estella Valles in Los Angeles. Brother to Cecilia, Daniel, Richard and Beatrice. Attended Roosevelt High School. Sergeant in the US Army. Served honorably in Korea. Master mechanic, self taught electrician and welder. Worked for Pacific Coast Baking, Lead Mechanic and supervisor at CHB and Best Foods. Survived by his wife of 60 years, Nellie, and daughters Maria Elena and Cecilia. Proud Grandfather of Stephen, Larissa, and Kenny. He loved and took care of his family. Stern and no nonsense. He was tough on his girls knowing that they had to be strong. Alone he would speak tenderly of his wife Nellie. A true Man’s Man. He smoked, he drank, he gambled. He got the fever in Vegas and actually thought the ponies spoke to him. Closet baseball fan enjoyed watching Dodgers and Angels on television. Always helping family and friends whether they wanted it or not.
