He was born on August 19, 1944 in Boston, Massachusetts. He served his country during the Vietnam War in the US Navy on the USS Whetstone from 64-68. After leaving the military he studied woodworking at the infamous North Bennet Street School in Boston. David excelled in furniture and cabinet making and, overtime, became a Master Wood Worker, owning his own business and sharing his knowledge teaching at multiple colleges in Southern California.
He is survived by his beloved wife Anna of 34 years, his siblings Paul, Jim and Barbara, as well as his step children Kurt (Julia) and Kristine (Craig), and his step grandchildren Jake, Sam, Zac, Kaylan, Rachel and Kyle. He had many friends and “family in Christ” that feal the pain of this loss along with his family.
David was a kind, compassionate, generous and caring man who left the world a better and more beautiful place for having been in it. David had a heart for missions reaching many with the love and care of Jesus in Kenya, Ethiopia and Pakistan.
“But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about those who have died, so that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have died.” 1 Thessalonians 4: 13-14.
No services are planned at this time and David will be interred at a future date in Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA.
