Barbara, known to her friends as "Barbi," went to her eternal home on May 1st. She was born in Berlin, Germany, and moved to the United States in 1962. She lived most of her life in Southern California, where she was a hair dresser and later a business owner with her husband, John. Barbara loved animals, especially cats. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Messina, as well as her parents. She is survived by her children: Tom Messina, Jannette Miller & husband Jeff, and Vince Messina & his kids, her much-loved grandchildren, Sean and Tiffanie. A graveside service will be held at Loma Vista Memorial Park on Wednesday, May 24th at 1:00 pm.
