Willie (Bill) Lee McFadden Jr. was born in Sodus, New York and spent the majority of his youth in Ontario, New York. Bill was larger-than-life, with an infectious laugh that filled a room. He wore his heart on his sleeve and was a friend to anyone that needed one.
Bill moved to Colorado in 2003, focused on building a life where his two younger children Alexis (14) and Malachi (10) were his shining lights. A dedicated and proud father, he centered his world around them. His oldest daughter, Cheyenne (26), currently lives in NY. Watching her grow into an adult with her own family was a tremendous point of pride and love for Bill. He grew to love Colorado, enjoying fishing with his kids, or golfing with his brother. Bill is survived by his three children, his mother Rosa, his brother Duane and his wife Kathy.
As with most, life wasn’t always easy. However, even during trying times Bill worked hard to provide for his children, and was a generous man, quick to lend a helping hand. Dedicated to his mother Rosa, sharing his home and caring for her for many years was second nature for him. Bill loved to cheer people up with his silly jokes, or raise a ruckus watching his beloved Steelers!
Bill was greatly loved, and left our lives too soon. We find peace knowing when thunder booms now, it’s likely his laughter falling from heaven and when the sun peeks through the clouds, it’s probably his broad smile opening the skies.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 19, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. at the Abyssinian Christian Church; 516 Crestmore Place; Fort Collins, CO 80521.
