Our deepest condolences go out to you, Theo and Wyatt. We met your family at Horsetooth when it reopened 2005-06. Ted was one of the first new friends we made at the lake. You were just kids, hanging out with our daughters Chelsey and Courtney., and Eli Stankus, our son in law. 
Ted was so generous to Courtney and Eli, hosting their wedding at Ted’s beautiful country estate. We will miss him dearly. We pray for God’s mercy and comfort to all of the family and hope we can stay in touch. God bless you all.

I may not have known Ted for very long but the impact he had on my own family will never be forgotten. 
Our daughter met him at three years old and knew him as Papa Ted. She would visit the office frequently just to see him. He always treated her like she was his own grandchild and would go out of his way to ask how she was. Three years later, Ted brought me onboard and gave me a chance, knowing I had zero experience in the industry. 

Over the last three years, I got to know Ted on a personal level alongside the business level. He did amazing things to help my family that no other boss or business owner has ever done or, I believe, ever will do. 

I still expect to see his name pop up on my desk phone. He’d purposely sound upset when I answered because he thought it was hilarious to give me panic attacks, thinking I messed up something, only to get to his office for him to give me a hug and ask how home was. 
His entire family has the same heart and concern for everyone in the company. I hope they all know we see how hard they work and how deeply they care for us. 
Kuck won’t be the same without Ted. I hope he knows his life’s achievements will live on and thrive through his family, friends and colleagues. 
It’s just a little too quiet without you, Papa Ted. 
We’ll miss you.

Ted Kuck was the man who got me started in sheet metal. I am forever grateful for him giving me a chance and teaching me some great qualities. I also got the great opportunity to work with the Kuck family at Kuck Mechanical. It was a great learning experience. It was very sad when I received the news, my condolences to the entire Kuck Family.

My deepest sympthathies for the Kuck family. 

Working at Kuck for almost 8 years, I have many memories, including having my wedding at his house. 
The night before the wedding, we had just finished hanging the tulle and stringing the lights, Ted hopped in the forklift to put it away and caught one of the string lights pulling them all down! After we all had a good laugh (I may have almost cried), we put on some music and started over, rehanging the lights, ending at 3:00 a.m.! But we got it done and everything was beautiful.

Again, my deepest condolences to the entire Kuck family. My heart goes out to all of you.

All of us from Deli Works will miss Ted.  His family and ours go way back to 1985 while we were remodeling our second Deli Works location in Old Town.  Currently we would see Ted at our South College location or he would send Laura, his office manager, down to pick up his favorite sandwich, The Works!  

There was a shared love of a large neon clock that ended up with us in a trade for work done at our Linden Street restaurant.  It sat broken for many years with us, but we had a celebration reuniting that old clock with the Kuch family where it now lives on the wall of their family business fixed up and running smoothly!

Ted noticed an acrylic painting I had given my sister that hangs at our business.  Ted asked if I could replicate that painting on an old oar that he had.  I took that wobbly, battered and mangled oar, and I painted the fish on it; he said he was going to hang it on a wall, and I’m happy I was able to do that for him!

We are deeply saddened for your loss Carol, Russ, Dave and Bob along with extended family, especially his wife and children.  Grief for the loss of a loved one will never go away, but you will share many memories with one another as you move forward.

I met Ted Kuck when I had his son, Theo, in my 5th grade class. He came in for parent teacher conference near the beginning of the year.  He had learned from Theo that my favorite candy was Tootsie Rolls. He walked in with a big bag of them and a smile, and said, "Theo is a live one, and you're going to need these. Let me know when you run out."  Ted and Cindy were so supportive and kind, and Theo was so much fun to have. A wonderful family led by a wonderful man. I'm truly so sorry for your loss.

Sending my love and prayers to the Kuck clan. I was so saddened to hear this news, and my heart goes out to your entire family.

Teddy was truly a special person. I will always remember him for his incredibly caring nature and his truly big heart. He had a remarkable way of looking out for everyone around him, and he took such great care of his friends and their families.

I especially recall the kindness and support he extended to my uncle when my grandmother was diagnosed with dementia. His willingness to help during such a difficult time meant the world to our family, and we will never forget his generosity and compassion.

Teddy's warmth and thoughtfulness touched so many lives, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

I am the way I am today because of Ted Kuck. He was someone everybody loved to be around. When I was a 2nd year apprentice, he even made going to Amarillo to fix that disaster of a job something I was excited about because he inspired me and I wanted to learn from him. Among many other things he taught me that you can be respected without being feared which was the opposite of what I was hearing elsewhere. He made me believe in myself and taught me to always bet on myself. 

I was devastated when you left HSM and I didn’t understand at the time, but over time and with my own experiences in life I came to see and I understood why. And I remembered what you told me right before you left, to trust myself. 

I’m so glad we got the chance to reconnect. Joy and I would not be where we are today without your kind heart and beautiful spirit. I wish we’d had more time. I still owed you that dinner at House of Prime Rib.

Rest in peace my friend. You will be dearly missed.

I remember Ted having a vision for Kuck Mechanical and was always ready to lend a hand at the shop @ 5am to see the day crew off. ALL the Kuck family have a passion for the business and Ted seemed to keep the focus on that passion, I always admired seeing what vehicle of the month he’d be tooling around in Fort Collins. I am at a loss for words and offer condolences to the family. He will sorely be missed and such a void to fill. Gone too soon! God bless.

My condolences to the Kuck family. Ted was quite a presence and was always thoughtful and kind to me over the many years. When I scraped my car on the privacy gate at his ranch, he arranged to have the repairs and cost covered by a friend who owed him a favor. 
My heart is heavy for the entire family, for Theo, and particularly for   Wyatt who I have known since he was in elementary school. 
Nothing I can say will easy your pain but please know that I am forever sorry for the tragic loss of your Dad at such an early age.

Ted had a big personality and a heart of gold! He worked hard for his family and his company, giving back to those around him every chance he had. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. I am so grateful to have known him and call him a true friend. He will be missed, but because of his pure heart and love for our Lord, I know he is looking down from Heaven on his beautiful family.  The Kuck family has a strong angel to watch over them until they are together again.  Precious baby Goldie has a personal protecter for the rest of her life. He is not seen, but he is there.  May Ted rest in the arms of Jesus.

For the school play, in 5th grade at Waverly Elementary, he was Pecos Bill, and I was Slue-Foot Sue. We would play softball during recess, with our teacher, Mr. Hurd,  cautioning us not to throw the bat once we swung and connected with the ball, and if we did, Mr. Hurd would YELL! Ted would throw his bat every time, on purpose, just to watch Mr. Hurd’s face get red. 

Once a group of us went to his house in Waverly, and I remember marveling at the glass IV bottle that hung in the basement near the pool table. Not sure what was in it, but I imagine it was “medicinal” at least 80-proof. When his family moved to a sprawling old house on the corner of Grant Avenue, Danette and I helped Ted paint the cabinets, and made a huge mess, with white paint. That was also the house where Carol served some of the most delicious homemade feasts I’ve ever enjoyed. Many times, I sat at the long table just like one of the family, frequently seated next to a priest, so I was on my best behavior.

At Wellington Junior High we enjoyed eating our lunches in the gymnasium, along the upper tier overlooking the old basketball court, and it was a good day when someone in the group could make Ted laugh – a sincere, hearty laugh. That was usually Deanne.

I made it a point to see Ted every summer when I came back to Fort Collins, and it was always like no time had passed at all. I remember visiting him several years ago, at the top of the world, up on Horsetooth, where one wrong turn of the wheel on the incredibly narrow, twisting dirt road would have sent us tumbling down the mountain. Deanne was with me and our nerves were frazzled by the time we reached his house. But there was Ted – with food, and drink, and good conversation. It was worth the climb – because Deanne could still make him laugh.

He was kind and generous to a fault and the best thing he ever did for me was to give me my beloved nickname that I still have to this day.

On behalf of the Engineered Air Denver sales office, I’d like to extend my condolences to Ted’s family and friends as well as the entire staff at Kuck Mechanical.

I remember a time when he first bought that house of his. And having a company party in the barn. I remember being arm and arm with singing at the top of our lungs. Jack and Diane. This man will be missed. I thank him for always looking out for my little brother. Rest easy Ted.

I’m saddened to hear of Ted’s passing. Ted was a part of my life for 30 years. I am grateful I could be part of the Kuck family. Losing Ted is devastating to me. He took care of me for 30 years and a bunch of other people as well. He will be greatly missed and always have a special place in my heart. He will be remembered as a man who was easy to talk to and always listened. My condolences to the entire Kuck family!

Ted or as I will always know you as Teddy! You have been part of my life since I was born our families have been close always. Teddy you save my father not once but twice. The first time you gave dad a job when he lost his business. You gave him his purpose back, you showed him he was not too old to be valuable. Then again when he got cancer you gave him jobs to take his mind off what he was going through. You took him to the auction and you were always there for him. When he passed you where my families rock, you keep us grounded when we were drowning. I can’t imagine this world without you in it. But I know you are with my dad and having a beer talking about old times. You were the big brother I never knew I needed and I am honored to have been able to call you friend.

TED,  no matter how tough you were to deal with, you always made me smile and you always made the right choice.  You always made choices from your heart even if it wasn't the best decision for you.  Your heart and willingness to care for those with less was always exposed.  We shared the respect of someone's word or promise.  You were rough but artsy and tough but emotional.  Your principals and loyalty are legendary and I can tell you that I learned from you.  Your boys, their families and the rest of your family wouldn't be the men and people they have become without your examples good and bad.  I will miss you.  I will miss you yelling at me only to share a hug later.  I will miss you pal.

I remember Ted as a toddler visiting his Grandpa Ted's "Circle K Ranch."  He was so cute playing in the huge walk-in bath/shower.    His Sheboygan, Wisconsin, family was proud of him.  He followed his grandpa's tradition of having a business and working hard—all my love to his family.

Thanks to everyone that added to this he would have loved to see all the memories. My uncle is are fearless leader he taught Theo,Wyatt and I to be tough and when things get tough you don’t cry or feel sorry for yourself you put your boots on and get to work. Theo,Wyatt and I will never quit or forget what Teddy boy taught us we will keep his legacy alive.

Ted is dearly missed. One of my favorite memories of him was a bonfire he made and I thought he was so crazy for driving the tractor around the fire to move the burn pile. It was hilarious. He knew how to have a good time and that fun was contagious. He was also very generous as he invited us to a George Strait concert, and that has gone down as one of my favorite concert experiences of all time. I’m grateful to have known him. My heart and prayers go out to his beautiful family.

Wow what a shock. I have too many memories of Ted and the whole Kuck family too even begin to list them. I lost contact after I retired and now I wish I had stayed in contact with him and the family. He was way to young to leave and he will be missed. Vicki and I send  our sincere condolences.

Ted and I go back to the days when he was with Horizon Sheet Metal Company working for Asher Haun.  I did several temperature control projects with Ted.  Ted was definitely a good person, and I am sure that he will be missed by family and many friends.

I am sending so much love and prayers to the Kuck family during this time. I wanted to share something about Ted with his family that meant a lot to me. My boyfriend works for Kuck and three years ago I was diagnosed with very aggressive breast cancer at 33 years old. My medical team told me that if I wanted to have children, I would need to harvest my eggs before I started treatment as treatment often leaves women infertile.  Of course, insurance would not cover that procedure. I set up a go fund me to give myself hope before starting the fight of my life. Ted made a substantial donation to my fund, and I was able to harvest my fertility before chemo. Today I am a cancer survivor and Cody, and I welcomed a beautiful baby boy in December of 2023. I will never have the words to describe my gratitude to Ted for shining a light on such a terrifying time in my life.  I want his family to know, even though I don't know Ted besides the company Christmas parties I have attended with Cody.  Ted made a difference in my life for which I will always be grateful.

On behalf of our family, we are thinking of you all in this unimaginable time.  Ted's generosity to make people happy and pleased was beyond measure.  We wanted him to be as equally as happy.  
We will not forget the fond memories on Horsetooth Res, Bronco games and the infamous photo mishap, being in our wedding, him racing on a stick pony and getting out of a bounce house at our kid's birthday parties, Vegas trips, talking about how proud he is of his boys, his grandbaby Goldie, and truly seeing him smile.  That is how we will remember you and we will never forget you.  God bless you and your family always.
