Rosemary Jane Diaz, 62 of Johnstown, Colorado went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, September 23, 2022, in Loveland, Colorado. She was born on May 9, 1960, to Jimmy and Cris Abeyta in Delta, Colorado.
Rosemary grew up and lived in Delta until 1984 when she and her family moved to Loveland, Colorado. In 1976, Rosemary met Tomas in the parking lot while listening to live music. They began dating after their first encounter and on May 27, 1977, they were married in Delta, Colorado. Rosemary and Tomas celebrated in May their 45th Wedding Anniversary and remained happily married until her passing.
Rosemary was a member of Saint John’s Catholic Church in Loveland, Colorado. She was very hard working and worked in hospitality for most of her younger years and as a homemaker. Rosemary was kind hearted, caring and very welcoming. She always opened up her home, offered a hot meal and some great discussions. She enjoyed keeping her home meticulously clean and decorated. She loved hosting family holidays and preparing delicious meals. Rosemary also enjoyed her fountain Diet Coke from 7-11, that many family and friends enjoyed getting for her. She took great pleasure in crafting and decorating her home for the holidays.
She was the second oldest of 10 children. She enjoyed helping raise her younger siblings and being a Madrina to her numerous Godchildren. Rosemary was blessed with 3 children that she loved and cared for deeply. She was passionate about her 5 grandchildren that she absolutely adored. She enjoyed caring for them, giving them advice, and being their biggest cheerleader. Her grandchildren were her world.
She is survived by her loving husband, Tomas Diaz of Johnstown; her children, Tomas Diaz Jr. of Johnstown, Cristina Diaz of Greeley, and Lawrence Diaz of Loveland; her adored grandchildren, Oscar Espinoza Diaz, Angelina Diaz, Marcelo Espinoza Diaz, Destiny Diaz and Santana Diaz; her siblings, James Abeyta, Kathy Arambulo Abeyta, Eddie Abeyta, Christina Hernandez, Donald Abeyta, Jerry Abeyta, Joann Abeyta and Tammie Abeyta; and countless friends and extended family whose lives she touched.
Rosemary is preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Cris Abeyta; her parents-in-laws, Rudolfo Diaz and Tomasa Carrillo de Diaz; brother, Tony Abeyta; sister-in-law’s, Debbie Abeyta and Debi Abeyta; brother-in-law, Benito Diaz; nephew, Isaias Díaz; and niece, Priscilla Zamora.
