Rod was a graduate of Poudre High School. Later, becoming the owner of Straight Line Alignment, where he worked to his retirement in 2023.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Robbie; his brother Roger (Sharon) Schmidt; his niece Margo (Colin) Sullivan; Robbies three children, Julie (Darren) Tveito, Jamie (Chris) Lawson, Jim (Mendi) Carlson; and six grandchildren.
Rod is preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Roine Schmidt and several aunts and uncles.
A celebration of life will take place on Friday April 25, 2025 at 10:30 am, at Allnutt Funeral Service Drake Chapel, 650 W, Drake Road Fort Collins, CO 80526.
