Robert John Voelkel peacefully passed into the loving arms of Jesus on October 5, 2022, just shy of his 60th birthday.
Bob was born November 2, 1962. He was a proud Lakewood Tiger and graduated from Lakewood High School in 1981. He was also a devoted fan of the Denver Broncos, Colorado Rockies, and his only niece Kate. He was fiercely devoted to his family and a shark at the cribbage table!
Although Bob suffered many challenges throughout his life, he always looked forward to the days he could go to work, be around people, or play games with family. Bob was an appreciative, loving soul who had a smile and a good word for everyone who took the time to give him a wave from across the room! He leaves behind many friends and caregivers who admired his faith in God and his unflappable courage in the face of adversity.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents Ed and Sue Voelkel and his older brother Eddie. He is survived by his sister Beth Molenaar (Greg) and his niece Kate.
Enjoy your well-deserved rest, Bob! Sing and dance with the angels and delight in the thrill of your now-healed body!
