After College Pat joined the Navy as a radioman, there she met and married Thomas Keith Carter and they started a family. In 1960 they moved to Ft. Collins and raised Rusty (Robin), Pete (Kathy) and Diane (Michael).
Pat is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Brianne, Kelsey and Matt as well as 5 great grandchildren, her niece Caroleann and nephews Bruce and Richard.
As a family we hosted a few foreign exchange students and their families.
Pat enjoyed swimming, square dancing and spent time reading, contemplating and praying.
She was trained to give communion and enjoyed visiting people that could not get to church. She was always whistling with her canary or humming which made those around her happy.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday Nov. 8th 1:00PM at St. Lukes Episcopal Church, 2000 Stover St., Fort Collins, CO.
In lieu of flowers please contribute to a charity of your choice, Pat’s favorites were PBS, Doctors Without Borders, Crazy Horse and animal welfare organizations.
