Michael Paul McKenna

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mike McKenna, affectionately known as "Doc", at the age of 82, on February 6, 2025. He was born in Pasadena, CA on August 27, 1942, to Francis and Grace McKenna.

Mike led a life of service and dedication, both to his community and his family. He was a respected physician and owner of Care Plus Medical Center in Longmont, CO, where he specialized in aviation medicine and provided compassionate care to many until his retirement. Mike's commitment to helping others extended beyond his medical practice; also serving as a Volunteer Firefighter and Fire Chief with the Loveland Fire Department for many years.

His faith was an important part of his life, and he attended both St. John's Catholic Church and Crossroads Church.

Mike led by example and will be remembered for his dedication to others, his positive attitude, and his generous spirit. He cherished his family and the friendships he built throughout his life.

He is survived by his children, Kelly McKenna, Kody McKenna (daughter-in-law Kara McKenna), and Jillian Sayne (son-in-law Jason Sayne); his grandchildren, Easton McKenna, Grayson McKenna, Callan Sayne, and Maren McKenna; and many beloved extended family members and friends.

Although no formal service will be held, Mike’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

He was a remarkable man, and he will be deeply missed.
