On Wednesday October the Third in the year 1956, Martha Frances Green was born to Terence Mead Green and Marilyn Lois Silver.
The youngest of three children, Martha was born with a congenital heart disease and had open heart surgery at a very young age. From the moment she came into the world, she was a fighter. And she had to be, growing up with two older brothers.
Affectionately known as Marty, she graduated high school in Long Beach California. Marty married Augustine “Gus” Ponce in 1979. Marty and Gus had three children: Alonzo, Salvador, and Carmen. Marty and Gus had many adventures in their 40+ years of marriage. Marty was the happiest sitting on the porch watching the birds and squirrels with her husband, while they often dreamt of owning a farm with goats and chickens.
Marty passed peacefully on Wednesday, May 8th, 2024 in Fort Collins, Colorado. She is survived by her husband, children, and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who love her.
