Karen Lynn Cooper was born to Barbara (Boylan) Cooper and Chester Cooper on April 12, 1964 in Rawlins, Wyoming. Karen was baptized at an early age in the United Pentecostal Church under the leadership of Pastor Robert Cordova. She went to be with our Lord and Savior on May 24, 2022.
During her high school years Karen was a member of the Distributive Education Club of America (DECA), giving her the opportunity to work for the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the Rawlins National Bank (RNB), she was also a member of choir and the track team. Karen has always had a passion and love for all animals especially her fur babies Taysia, Keila, Zoe and Pixilee. A stray or abandoned dog need not worry, she was there to help.
As a young woman Karen gave birth to a beautiful baby boy she named ChyRome Ray Cooper, the love of her life. There was nothing more important to her than her son ChyRome (Lisa), her grandchildren and her great grandchildren.
Karen will be greatly missed by her son, ChyRome Cooper (Lisa Walston); her grandchildren, Jazmin Walston, Lennon Cory, Chance Walston, ChyRayia Cooper and LeSean Master;her great-grandchildren, Sophia and Mila Arias and Ezra Cory; her siblings, Patricia Cooper, Kaye Cooper Saunders, and Shelia Cooper Hale; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Karen was preceded in death by her brother, Elvis Cooper; maternal grandmother, Bessie Mae Thompson; maternal grandfather, Charles Boylan; paternal grandmother, Rosa Lee Lewis; paternal grandfather, Albert Cooper; special niece, Natasha Saunders Kimani; special aunts, Lillie Bryant, Alma Boylan, Armella Robinson, Liona Hornsby, and Lee Willie Jefferson; and uncle, Arnester Jones.
Karen also had special family members and friends she loved dearly so please know that although your name may not have been mentioned it’s not because you were forgotten or loved any less.
