John “Jack” Chisholm, 88, died with his family by his side in Fort Collins, CO. He was born in Del Norte, CO to loving parents Donald and Lillian Rowe Chisholm. He was raised in Albuquerque, NM where he graduated from Highland H.S. He graduated from University of New Mexico and University of Colorado Medical School. While at CU, he met Jane Hollenbeck who he later married in 1961. He went on to do his residency in Ohio followed by his service in the Air Force at Warren Ari Force Base in California. Upon finishing his service he and his family moved to Denver, CO where he open his OB/GYN practice. Denver OB/GYN Associates. He lived in Denver for 44 years. They moved to Fort Collins in May 2012 to be closer to family.
While in college Jack was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity and was the Senior Class President. He was involved on many hospital boards and practiced out of St. Joseph Hospital, Rose Medical Center and St. Luke’s/Presbyterian Hospital. Jack loved being a doctor but most of all loved his patience and the joy of bringing babies into the world.
Jack loved his family, his pets, fishing, gardening, reading, but he especially loved watching his sports. All of the Denver Sports team were close to his heart. He and Jane also share many wonderful memories from their house in Estes Park.
Jack was preceded in his death by his parents, his 3 brothers and 1 sister, and his wife of 52 years Jane Hollenbeck Chisholm. He is survived by his loving children Amy Chisholm Cheese, Andrew Chisholm, Allison (Jeffrey) Rittner and his six grandchildren Caren (Casey) Norgard and Allison (Jeremey) Gonzales; Reid Chisholm; Samantha (Bill) Rodrigo, John Rittner and Maggie Rittner. He also had two great-grandchildren.
