On December 26, 1943, she married her high school love, Norman A. Evans of Spearfish. Their marriage lasted 74 years until Norman's passing in January 2018. Jean and Norman had four children, four grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, daughter Elizabeth Evans Crecelius, and son Matthew. She is survived by sons Douglas of Minneapolis and Garth (Marta) of Durango; son in law Tony Crecelius (Marjorie); four grandchildren, Jared Crecelius (Sandra) and their children Collin, Tyler, and Alyssa; Kara Lord (Matt) and their daughter Ella Grace, Leah McGaw and her children Isabella and Joseiphine, and Sondra Evans and her children Isaiah and Dominic.
Jean was intimate with her Lord Jesus Christ and lived her life in faith.
The interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery on August 24, 2022. Her celebration of life will be on September 10, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Good Samaritan Society in Windsor, Colorado. Pastor John Dubner will be officiating both ceremonies. She will be missed by anyone who knew her, especially her friends, John and Mary Dubler and Rhea Jones.
