Fritz was born to Carl and Bernice Kitowski on April 26, 1936 in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. As a child Fritz was very active with sports and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed spending time with his parents and his six siblings. After attending St. Norbert College and graduating with a Finance degree, Fritz joined the military as a proud member of the United States Army.
