Elizabeth Hathaway Ault went to be with the Lord on May 6, 2018 in Fort Collins, Colorado, following a lengthy illness. Elizabeth was born November 16, 1923 in Hammond, Indiana. She graduated from Hammond High School where she was the recipient of the American Legion School Award. Following graduation she worked as a secretary for Queen Anne Candy Company in Hammond, Indiana.
She married her high school sweetheart Leonard Ault on March 25, 1944. They were married for 74 years at the time of her passing. She and Leonard moved to Mt. Morris, Illinois following World War II, where her husband worked for Kable Printing Company as an engineer and where they raised 3 children. After living in Dayton, Ohio and Gainesville, Georgia, Elizabeth and Leonard moved to Fort Collins in 1992. Elizabeth worked for many years as a church secretary in Mt. Morris and Dayton, and as an office manager at the Norton Real Estate Agency in Gainesville, Georgia.
Elizabeth enjoyed the outdoors and spent many hours biking, hiking, camping and boating. She enjoyed needlework and sewing, and especially loved to study the Bible. She was always active in her church, singing in church choirs, and serving in numerous ways. She was known for her hospitality, friendliness, ready smile, and positive attitude.
She is survived by her husband Leonard F. Ault of Fort Collins; daughter Diane Ridenour of Roscoe, Illinois; son David L Ault and his wife Vonna of Whitewater, WI; daughter Donna Ault of Fort Collins; Grandchildren Jennifer Ridenour Truesdale and her husband Stephen of Whitewater, WI; and Jonathan Ridenour of Houston, Texas; great grandchildren Mina, Gwen, Sterling, and Steinar Truesdale; sister Sally Moore of Lake Wales, Florida, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Alma Hathaway, her brother Bob Hathaway, and son-in-law Terry Ridenour. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be sent to Gideon's International or the Fort Collins Rescue Mission.
