With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Donnavae Gallegos, who left this world on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies, surrounded by the loved ones. She was born on October 3, 1947, in Denver, Colorado, to Eugene and Ruby Bradshaw, who preceded her in death.
Donnavae was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, whose love and kindness touched everyone she met. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Gerald Gallegos, with whom she built a beautiful life and family. Together, they raised four wonderful children: Nicole Colbert (Nate), Jeremy Gallegos (Brooke), Jason Gallegos (Susanne), and Michael Gallegos (Monica Neal). One of her greatest joys in life was being a grandmother to her seven grandchildren—Tessa, Zendon, Ben, Claudia, Ephraim, Jameson, and Elijah—who will forever carry her love in their hearts.
She was a loving sister to Darlene, Eddie, Anthony, and Janelle and she was preceded in death by her brothers, John and Jimmy. Donnavae is also survived by her step-mother Mary Lou Bradshaw.
Donnavae’s life was guided by her deep faith as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She found great joy and comfort in sharing her beliefs and living in accordance with Jehovah’s teachings. Her strong faith was a source of inspiration to those around her, and she remained steadfast in her hope for the future.
In addition to her devotion to family and faith, Donnavae played a vital role in supporting her husband with the family business, Gallegos Sanitation Inc.
