After a two-year battle with cancer, Donna Marie Spitzer died on August 8, 2018 surrounded by family in Loveland, CO. She was 76.
Donna was born on March 14, 1942 in Indianapolis, IN, where she was raised by her mother and step-father, Honorine and Carl Wagner. She graduated from Sacred Heart Central High School in 1960.
She leaves behind her daughter, Tracey, who is the apple that didn’t fall far from the tree, her two daredevil sons, David (and wife Julie), who live in North Carolina, and Brian, who lives in Indiana, four grandchildren Ashley, Kayla, Kara, and Jake, great granddaughter, Lilly, as well as her brother, Mark, his wife Chris, and their children, Brett, Lindsay, and Doug. Donna was most proud of her role as a mother, and always believed that her children and grandchildren would be her legacy. There are also four furry friends, Gibbs, Dottie, Yogi, and Alfred, who will miss her ear scratches and belly rubs.
Donna loved to spend time outside puttering in the garden. She was an avid Scrabble player, and a card shark with an affinity for Solitaire and Rummy.
She is preceded in death by her mother, step-father, and two brothers, John Michael White and Carl Robert Wagner, Jr.
In lieu of flowers, Donna has asked that donations be made to Animal Rescue of the Rockies and that you consider making a book donation to your local library.
She will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN, following a service that will be held in the Calvary Chapel at 1:00p on Saturday, September 15, 2018.
