Doloris Joan Hall, 91, of Fort Collins passed away Monday September 30, 2024. Born in Grand Rapids Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Edwin L. Brooks and Edna Stuur. Doloris graduated from Innovation Central High School in 1951. After High School, Doloris moved to Sydney Nebraska where she met and married Byron E. Hall.
Doloris and Byron, who worked for a major corporation, moved to Arizona, New Mexico, Virginia, and California for Byron’s employer. After deciding to move closer to family in 1977, the family moved back to Fort Collins where Byron had originally graduated from Colorado State University. That is where Doloris was employed by Markley Motors for 37 years as a cashier and working in accounts receivable. During her life, Doloris made many life-long friends and traveled all over the western United States, including Santa Fe New Mexico.
Surviving are her sons, Randy Hall (Lisa) of Fort Collins, Scott Hall of Greeley, Michael Witters of Alanson Michigan and a brother, David Brooks (Debbie) of Santa Fe New Mexico. Several nieces and nephews including Danniel Brooks (Amanda), Jeffery Brooks, Beth Brooks (Jeffrey) and Karen Richards (Bob). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Byron Hall, her brothers Eddie Brooks and Richard Brooks, sister Pat Hornicak, and daughter-in-law, Anita Hall .
A memorial service for Doloris will be held at 11:00 am. Friday October 11, 2024, at Allnutt Drake Chapel, with a reception following the memorial.
