Craig was an avid enthusiast for living life, taking every opportunity to make the most of his. In his senior year at CSU, while enrolled in the Engineering program, he traveled abroad in the Semester at Sea program. Craig’s passion for traveling carried through into his adulthood, and all told, counted to 10 countries over the course of his life. Despite his many travels, Craig grew up by Carter Lake and always claimed Colorado as his home. It was at Carter Lake he felt the most joy, building memories and lasting friendships, jet skiing and teaching others to do the same. In addition to being an Advanced Open Water Diver, Craig loved camping, snowboarding and mountain biking the outdoors, never afraid to take risks for fear of getting injured.
He worked as a Network Engineer and began a friendship 25 years ago with his Sweetheart, Shery. Described as two mismatched puzzle pieces from different puzzle sets, they shared a devoted and happy home with their beloved pets. Craig brought an ease and lightness to the people who knew him, and did not take life too seriously, but never failing to take those he loved seriously. Craig’s kind and curious nature propelled him to explore other cultures, to meet new people, and try new things without fear of judgment or approval. Wise beyond his years, when he wrote in his Senior year at college, he simply said: “I also want to acquire some knowledge of what factors unite all of mankind, because knowledge will allow me to relate with anyone.”
