She had just celebrated her 73rd birthday on August 22nd, surrounded by her husband, children, and her two granddaughters.
Carol was born on August 22, 1948 in Britton/Edmond, Oklahoma to her beloved parents, Edna and Irving (Buck) Ketch. She spent a joyful childhood in Edmond with her two siblings, Tom and Sherry, on a small farm at the outskirts of town. Carol earned her Associate Degree and worked for over 40 years in Bookkeeping/Accounting.
In 1968 Carol married Byron R Cowles (Barney) and shortly after they moved to Arkansas where they raised their two children, Julie and Byron. Carol and Barney enjoyed life in Arkansas for 47 years surrounded by many close friends before moving to Fort Collins, Colorado to be near their children and grandchildren.
Carol is survived by her husband, Barney Cowles; her daughter, Julie Hoffmann, and her son, Byron Cowles; her two granddaughters, Jordan Stansloski and Isabelle (Izzy) Cowles; her brother, Tom Ketch; her many sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends, and her beloved dog, Sadie. She is preceded in death by her father, Buck Ketch, and her mother, Edna Ketch, as well as her sister, Sherry Ozbirn.
Carol was a faithful Christian who treasured her family and friends above everything else in this world. She was full of life and love for those around her. We are so thankful she has moved on to her forever home with God, but we will greatly miss her being here with us.
We will see you again soon when we all get home!
