On Saturday, October 6, 2018 we said goodbye to a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend who enjoyed life in so many ways. Barb was preceded in death by her husband, Ray and is survived by two daughters, Cindy (Fred), and Debbie (Charlie), as well as five grandchildren, all of Colorado.
Barb had many interests including acting as a Bluebird leader, youth bowling coach, and spending time with her family. She enjoyed gardening, including growing test roses for the Jackson Perkins company. Her most avid hobby was bowling, which led her to state and national tournaments in exciting venues including Reno, Las Vegas, Seattle, New Orleans, Milwaukee, and Boston. She amassed many trophies and other trinkets.
In their earlier days, Barb and Ray loved their 1955 Ford Thunderbird and 1956 Aerial Square Four motorcycle, completing the Pikes Peak Hill Climb. They bought their first home together in 1964 and resided there with their daughters for many years.
She loved and was proud of her family including her grandchildren Casey, Ryan, Taylor, Heather, and Gregory. She will be dearly missed.
Funeral services will be held at Resthaven Funeral home on Friday, Oct. 12 at 1:00 PM. A viewing will be held at 12 PM.
