Anne was born in Erin, Tennessee on August 16, 1940, to Charles and Elva Luck, the youngest of 8 children. She had 5 sisters and 2 brothers.
After age 2, Anne’s family moved to Detroit MI where she attended grade school. She then attended Adelphian Academy in Holly, MI and then went on to graduate from high school at Madison College Academy in Madison, TN. She then completed her pre-nursing at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI. She moved to California to attend and graduate from the Glendale Sanitorium and Hospital - School of Nursing and entered the nursing profession in 1962. She returned to Tennessee and received her bachelor-of-science degree in Nursing at the University of Tennessee at Memphis.
In 1963 she married Dennis Randall and had three children, Dennis Jr and Gregory were born in Tennessee and Kristen was born in California. She was involved with her children’s education through the Montessori Schools in Southern California and was very active in supporting her children’s sporting activities with participation in fund raisers and booster clubs.
In 1986 Anne married Collis Woodward in Fullerton, California. They lived in Orange County, California until 1993 when they moved to Fort Collins, CO. Anne immediately became involved in several activities including golf and joining a local chapter of P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization) where she became president of her chapter a few years later. She enjoyed the fellowship of many of her P.E.O. sisters, socializing and making friends in her various golf, bridge and mahjong groups. She loved adorning her home with beautiful things and hosting social gatherings.
She adored her husband, Collis, with whom she traveled extensively. Many trips were shared with family. She had numerous close and personal friends that shared in mutual love and friendship. Most of all Anne loved and adored her 3 children, 2 stepchildren and her 8 grandchildren. She had a special place in her heart for each of them. And what a heart of love it was for all who knew her.
Anne lived a full and wonderful life, even as she battled breast cancer for the past 7 years. Her strong belief in an ever-loving and just God gave her strength of conviction to champion the God given right to free choice for everyone.
She is survived by her husband, Collis Woodward; son Dennis Randall (Brooke) of Aptos CA; son Gregory Randall of Laguna Beach, CA; daughter Kristen Berens (Shawn) of Indianapolis, IN; stepdaughters Christiana Paul (Joseph) of San Diego, CA, Juliana Woodward of Goleta, CA; sister Gail Watkins (Gene) of Redlands, CA; and 8 grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on December 29, 2022, for family and friends by invitation at the Fort Collins Country Club. Memorial contributions may be made in Anne’s honor to The Legacy Fund of Chapter CO of P.E.O.
