We celebrate the memory and home going of Andrew Weisenfeld, a man that we have all come to love and appreciate. Born in the Borough of Manhattan, to Albert and Ruth Weisenfeld, Andy’s love and influence have reached well beyond the limits of New York City. The words that best describe him are words that we all are familiar with.
Andy was “brother” to sisters Melissa and Laura, whom he deeply loved.
Andy was loving “husband” to Andrea, “Abby”. No one doubted the great love, concern and honor Andy had for his wife.
Andy was “dad” to a couple of blessed young ladies, Hayley and Jaclyn, and a grateful son-in-law, Nate. How many things could be shared! It would require much more space than is permitted to fully describe the loving, caring adoration Andy bestowed on his children.
Andy was “grandpa” to two adorable grandchildren, Jordan and Avielle, who were his whole world. Wow! What a grandpa!
His role of influence in his community was most widely known by his name, Dr. Weisenfeld. With passionate enthusiasm he truly gave many thousands of children a beautiful smile. But the smile he made was more than a pearly white one. Dr. Weisenfeld had a way of making the smallest child feel important so that the smile they gave in return came from a heart, blessed by a great man.
Probably the most common word “friend” describes Andy best for everyone. Whether family, colleagues in the medical field, patients in the dental chair, companions in recreational and missions travel or fellow believers in Jesus, everyone felt the passionate love and genuine consideration of this wonderful man. He gave more than he ever received.
Greatest of all Andy was a friend and lover of God. His passion for his Jewish heritage and Christian faith were palpable. He had a unique ability to draw the riches of both into a living combination in praise to God.
Isaiah 40:31
But Those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.
