The beautiful life of Andrew James Thompson, 29, of Fort Collins came to an end in the early hours of Tuesday, November 17, 2020. We’re confident in knowing that he’s taken this rightful residence in his heavenly home with God.
Andrew was the perfect example of a “family man”. He would brag endlessly about his beautiful family, he was so proud of his girls. No mountain was too high for him to climb if it meant he was climbing to support them. His daughters were his world and he dreamed the world for them. They had him wrapped around his fingers always, in all ways. Tuesdays became special for him and his wife, they loved Taco Tuesday date nights so much, they looked forward to them each and every week. Whether they made it happen at him alongside one another, or they ordered them from their favorite taco spots.
His family was always top priority, but Andrew also had the deepest passion for cars. If anyone had a question about cars, it was Andrew’s brain they picked for answers. Andrew told us he built his first engine at 12 years old. Never sitting still, if he wasn’t being silly with his girls or working on cars, you could find him outdoors. Either hiking, enjoying sunsets, or simply breathing in the fresh air the mountains always has to offer. He was such a busy body. We could guarantee that if he didn’t tell you where he was going before he walked out the front door, he was around the corner at 7/11 getting a carbonated soda or energy drink in a can. His love for junk food and sugar filled drinks is what filled his meantime in between time. He was interested in any topic under the sun. If you ever just needed someone to talk to, you could depend on Andrew. He wouldn’t just lend an ear to listen, he would have a ton to say in response too, so you’d have to make sure you cleared your schedule. He was comedic, intellectual and oh so detailed. His conversation will be truly missed.
Andrew is survived by his wife, Ashley; his daughters, Destinie and Nahla; his mother, Brooke; and his sisters, Savanah, Sarah, and Iysha. Him and his father David, will now have the chance for the relationship he often wished they had. David, will be there to greet him at heaven’s pearly gates.
