Pat was born October 10, 1942, to Lewis and Geneva Wiles. She was born and raised in Payette where she attended school. In 1962, Pat married Gerald (Jerry) Stradley. They raised two daughters, Karie and Lyndsay.
Pat worked for the Payette School District school lunch program for most of her career until her retirement in 2008. She made many great friends while working in the kitchen at Westside Elementary and loved interacting with the children.
She enjoyed going to movies, taking classes at the Payette Pool and dining at restaurants with her good friends.
Pat was an animal lover and cared for numerous dogs, goats, horses, cats and various other critters during her life. She particularly loved her grandchildren Isabella and Ethan, and spoiled them whenever she had the chance. For many years, she enjoyed visiting her cabin on Cuddy Mountain, until her health made visiting the property challenging. Her friends and neighbors on the mountain were particularly special to her.
She will be loved and missed by her daughters Karie (Robert) Trujillo of Portland, Ore., and Lyndsay (Nick) Gastelecutto of Boise; grandchildren Isabella Trujillo and Ethan Gastelecutto; sisters Ramona Green and Gladys Broyles; sisters-in-law Jackie (Terry) Franklin and Shirleen (Bill) Box all of Boise; her beloved dog Max; and several nieces and nephews.
Special thanks from the family to the staff and doctors at MSTI, St. Luke’s, the nurses and caregivers from Canyon Home Health, particularly nurses Noreen and June, and her devoted in-home caregivers Kathleen and Dianne McMillan. In accordance with Pat’s wishes, there will be no memorial service, but her daughters encourage you to remember her fondly and share a toast to the woman who did it her way.
