Buster was born in Barnardsville, North Carolina on December 30, 1932 to Arnold and Reva (Hensley) Carson. Buster attended several schools and ended his education at the 8th grade. He worked at a steel mill in New Jersey until he was drafted into the Army in March of 1953. He was stationed in Germany, and was honorably discharged in March of 1955. He then moved to Idaho where he worked as a cobalt miner, logger, ranch hand and had his own tree trimming business.
He met and married Sheila Hobdey in 1956. In 1957 they welcomed their eldest son Daryl, and in 1961 they welcomed their younger son Tracy. They were later divorced.
Buster then started his 30 year career as a telephone man; starting with Continental Telephone of the West, which is now known as Frontier Communications. In 1972 he met and married Jeanette (Ware) Carver and welcomed her children Steven and Sandra as his own. In 1976 they welcomed their daughter April. Buster retired from the phone company in June of 1991, and they resided in Lake Fork until 2016 when they then moved to Fruitland, Idaho.
Buster is survived by his wife Jeanette; his sons Daryl (Karen) Carson, and Steve (Sheri) Carver; and his daughters Sandra McLeod (Steven Newman) and April (Kenny) Francis; grandchildren Jake, Stephanie, Melissa, Sadie, Jamie, Stacy, Jason, Harley, Kenneth, Lilly, Sam, Katie, and Carrie; and 14 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his son Tracy; siblings Vernon, Kathleen, Jack, and JoAnn.
