A celebration of life will be conducted on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home Chapel.
Lester was born on August 9, 1931 in Marshall a son of the late William Earnest and Mary Ethel Marshall Hamm. He was a hardworking man, a farmer, and county sanitation worker. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed gardening, fishing and working on cars. He was Baptist by faith.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mae Rosetta Hamm; his son, Lee King of Front Royal; his daughters, Terry King of Front Royal, Kelley Hamm of Herndon, and Kim Hamm of Front Royal; his sisters, Hazel Logan of MD, Rosie Bushrod of Marshall and Carrie Gilcrest of Trenton, NJ; and his grandchildren, Jonah King and Cody King.
