A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home with Pastor Kim Beard of Winchester officiating.
Virginia Elizabeth was born on October 5, 1953 in Washington D.C. to Marvin and Clara Renzie. The family moved to a farm in Rappahannock County where she and her brother Marvin Jr. enjoyed life on the farm.
Virginia met and married Fred Ausberry of Flint Hill, Virginia where they raised three sons Fred Jr., Gerald, and Matthew. Virginia had an adventurous spirit and loved raising animals such as goats, sheep and turkeys.
Virginia filled her time primarily as a house cleaner, but also enjoyed working as a caregiver for the elderly in her community. She was very active in church, serving in various ministries such as the food pantry ministry and the praise dance ministry, to name a few. Virginia had a kind and generous heart and was always willing to serve and help others.
Virginia spent her last few years residing at Culpeper Health & Rehabilitation Center where she was an inspiration to the fellow residents. She had a contagious laugh that would fill the halls of the center.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Dickson Ausberry, Sr. in 1995.
She is survived by her mother Clara, her siblings - Robert (Vernell) and Mae; sons Fred Jr., Gerald and Matthew, and their companions Ada, Melissa, and Katie. Virginia was blessed to have five loving grandchildren: Cedric, Trish, Veronica, Natalie, and Matthew Jr.
