Stewart Parsons

A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Panorama Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Parsons was born in Jackson County, WV on September 18, 1911 a son of the late A. V. and Flora Mae McCrady Parsons. He was a retired foreman for Avtex Fibers. He was a past Master at the Masonic Lodge A. F. & A. M. #146 and he was a farmer from 1953 until 1962 in Waterlick. He was a member of Rivermont Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Patsy Athey Parsons; his son, James Parsons and wife Nancy of Front Royal; his step-son, Carl Deavers and wife Carolyn of Front Royal; his grandchildren, Robbie Parsons, Mike Parsons, and Eddie Sealock; his great-grandchildren, Eric Sealock, Jacque Longmire, Collin Parsons, and Logan Parsons; his great-great-grandchildren, Spencer Serbia, Brandon Sealock, Alex Sealock, Elizabeth Sealock, Noah Longmire and Willie Rutz.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Parsons was preceded in death by his first wife Verla Parsons in 1990; his son, Donald Parsons; his daughters, Anita Parsons Sealock and Dottie Lou Parsons; his brothers, Jessie Parsons, Oshel Parsons, Otha Parsons and Clella Parsons; his sisters, Virginia Parsons and Belva Parsons Lowe; and his granddaughter, Carol Pomeroy.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Sealock, Eric Sealock, Mike Parsons, Robbie Parsons, David Pomeroy and Josh Longmire.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
