Linda Ann Pendleton Sloane born November 9, 1951 to the late Bessie Marie Pendleton Matthews, father Lafayette Stuart, and stepfather William Matthews, Sr. departed this life on Tuesday, August 11, 2015.
Linda was a housekeeper for many families over the years including a beloved friend and employer Mary Howard. She enjoyed socializing and living her life to its fullest. Linda was blessed with two sons by Randolph Sloane of Winchester, Virginia.
Surviving her son Henry Sloane, Linda was preceded in death by son Robert Lee Pendleton and her companion Gerald. Also surviving her, brother William Matthews, Jr. (wife – Jannise) of Front Royal; sisters Victoria Ayala (husband – Catarino) of Strasburg; Betty Harmon of Annandale, Virginia; and Brenda Howard (husband – Charles) of Middleburg, Virginia. Linda also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
