OBITUARY
Grover Cleveland Mellott
January 14, 1927 – May 5, 2016
Grover Cleveland Mellott, age 89, of Front Royal passed away on Thursday, May 05, 2016 surrounded by his family at his home.
A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home with Pastor Calvin Lowder officiating. Burial will follow in Panorama Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Mellott was born in Lovettsville on January 14, 1927 a son of the late Carter Milton and Bessie Elizabeth Piper Mellott. He retired as an electrical mechanic for Potomac Edison after 35 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and small engine repair. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great-great-grandfather.
Mr. Mellott is survived by his daughter, Linda Mellott Beatty (Robert) of Stephens City; his grandchildren, Kimberly Mellott Blevins (Allen), Traci Elaine Beatty, Jennifer Mellott Grant (Scott), Michael Paul Beatty, and Geoffrey Cleveland Mellott; his great-grandchildren, Timmy Ray Mellott, Taylor Mellott, Owen Beatty, Garrett Grant, and Kennedi Mellott, and his great-great grandchildren, Addyson Mellott and Oleksy Mellott.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Mellott was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Marie Ault Mellott; his son, Grover Cleveland Mellott, Jr., his brothers, Pete Mellott, George Mellott, and James Mellott, and his sisters, Madeline Mellott, Gladys Painter, Bertha Kenney, and Mabel Kenney.
Pallbearers will be Michael P. Beatty, Owen M. Beatty, Geoffrey C. Beatty, Gary Phillips and Kyle Grapes.
