Delton Mack Robinson Sr.

A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, June 24, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home with Reverend Dottie Holden officiating. Burial will follow in Shenandoah Memorial Park in Winchester.

Mr. Robinson was born on March 26, 1930 in Front Royal, a son of the late Jack and Virginia Sibert Robinson. He was a house painter for L. W. Carter and Sons. He attended Bethel Assembly of God and was a former member of the Moose Lodge.

Mr. Robinson is survived by his wife of 57 years, Martha S. Robinson; his sons, Delton M. Robinson, Jr. and wife Stephanie of Kodak, TN, Glenn B. Robinson and wife Cheryl of New Market, TN and Philip W. Robinson of Front Royal; his daughters, Carolyn Perry and husband Billy, Pamela Slate and husband Butch, and Jeannie Robinson and husband Mark all of Front Royal; his brothers, Sam Robinson and Beverly Robinson; his sister, Ida Belle Shriver; his 14 grandchildren; his 18 great-grandchildren and his special friend (Chihuahua) Casey.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by his brothers, Buster, Jim, Harry and Turner; and his sister Eunice.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 23, 2011 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Arther Slate, III, Arther Slate, II, George Shrader, Jr., Erick Robinson, Raymond Jenkins, Junior Babb, Britton Robinson and Jeromie Robinson. Honorary pallbearers will be Dan Maricle, Randy Nicholson, Greg Breeden, Jason Smoot, Buddy Schneider, Billy Perry, and Hank Fisher.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork St., Winchester, VA 22601
