Wayne Creigh Housewright was born March 1, 1935 to William Henry Housewright and Lois Housewright. He grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico with his brother Billy Max Housewright who was 10 years his senior. Wayne was a loving and sincere man. He was patriotic, stubborn and always willing to help others. He graduated from Baylor University in 1960 and went on to become a teacher at Southwest high school for 38 years. Wayne’s favorite place was in the yard where he liked to landscape and garden. He attended Preston Ridge Baptist Church. His favorite saying was “aint is not a word.”
Wayne is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carol Housewright of Frisco, TX; sons Mark Housewright of New Braunfels, TX and Derrek Housewright of Frisco, TX; grandchildren Ethan Housewright, Kara Housewright, Quinn Housewright, and Reece Housewright; dogs Buttons and Tassy and cat Snowflake.
