Trevor Austin Liggett passed from this life on to his eternal home on October 24, 2019. He was born on December 13, 1994 in Plano, TX to Chris and Diane Liggett. He grew up in Frisco, TX with his two older brothers, Ryan and Jacob Liggett.
Some of his family’s favorite memories of Trevor growing up were; his racing downstairs in the morning before school sports practice to control what was on the TV - “Saved by the Bell”, “Sports Center”, or “Fresh Prince of Bel Air”; when he put Jacob in an arm-bar before he could do anything about it; and learning to shoot with Papa in Bowie, “just point and shoot at that old toilet”, is what his Papa told him. Jacob remembers the time in middle school when Trevor scored his only touchdown and it was called back by a penalty, on Jacob. Ryan remembers on his first visit to Norman, OK, Trevor took him on a tour of campus and Ryan walked under the ‘cursed’ clock tower. He was at OU for 5 years, ". . . sorry mom and dad".
Trevor was athletic and full of energy. Competitive. He loved playing soccer and baseball, at the age 13 he ultimately chose soccer and played competitively throughout high school. Trevor could be devious, he could be impulsive. Trevor was also outgoing. He was just like his mother with his sarcasm. Ask Trevor a stupid question and he would respond with, “Does a bear s--- in the woods?". Ryan said he didn’t get Trevor’s unexplainable, irrational love for OU. Ryan was the only one who could tell the twins apart 100% of the time! He had several nicknames; “Trev”, “T”, and “T-Legit”. He was known by some of his friends as “Big Tex” and known by Siri as “Big Sexy”, in an Australian accent. Trevor had his faults, and through his limited time with us, he lived life hard but he wore his heart on his sleeve.
He attended FISD schools, graduating from Centennial High School in 2013. Trevor was the only freshman to make his high school varsity soccer team, lettering all four years and being named co-captain his senior year. While attending Centennial High School, he was involved in Young Life and FCA. He would go on to take an active leadership role in FCA during his first year of teaching. Trevor graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus on History. Trevor enjoyed the cultural tradition of OU. He had changed his major after his first year saying “I just can’t sit behind a desk”. He loved history and coaching kids.
As a young teen he loved Hannah Montana. His favorite hobbies were sports, fantasy football, and golf. In college he pursued his Sommeliers Certifications. He loved to cook and wanted a clean kitchen. His favorite movies were Top Gun, all the Marvel movies, Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Moneyball. He enjoyed country music, especially Luke Combs and Cody Johnson.
Trevor is survived by his parents Chris and Diane Liggett, his brother Ryan Liggett, his brother Jacob Liggett and wife Bekah, and his furry ‘best friend’ Macy Liggett all of Frisco, TX; Grandparents Ralph and Nadine Moser; Grandparents Robert and Margaret Liggett; his Uncle Dirk Moser; his Aunt Marci and Uncle Shannon Eaton; his cousins Quinn and wife MacKenzie Moser; Cash Moser; Michael and wife Veronica Liggett; Jessi and husband Dustin Ingram, all from the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex; his high school buddies (“Acquaintances that Love”); and multiple other extended family and friends.
Trevor was loved while he was with us here on Earth and will continue to be loved by his friends and family through time and eternity. He will be dearly missed by all.
