Sean graduated from Newman Smith High School in 1985. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University, followed by his MBA from Southern Methodist University. Sean worked at Fidelity Investments for most of his career, where he was well respected by his peers and was able to positively impact many lives. He began his career working directly with clients and moved quickly to various leadership roles. Sean made many good friends during his years at Fidelity.
Sean’s interests include playing golf, watching his Red Raiders football team, and spending time with family and friends. He was most proud of his kids, Kyle and Shannon. Kyle followed in Sean’s footsteps, graduating from Texas Tech. Shannon, who Sean called his “Mini Me,” gave him the precious gift of a grandson. He adored Easton and enjoyed showing his pictures to friends.
Preceding him in death is his brother, Trevor Thomas.
Sean is survived by his children (Kyle Thomas and Shannon Atchley), son-in-law (Jacob Atchley), grandson (Easton Atchley), parents (Les and Nancy Thomas), and brother (Scott Thomas).
