Sara Marie Brashears was born on May 15, 1998. She grew up in The Colony, TX and graduated early from The Colony High School. She was attending the University of Texas-Arlington. Sara briefly enjoyed working as a care giver for a special needs child and had hopes to become a teacher or a career in social work.
From a young age it was important for Sara to make everyone feel special. She was funny and silly. She was very happy to no longer be the little sister when she suddenly had two smaller step-siblings who adored her. She started playing soccer at the age of 4 and enjoyed running cross country. She was a painter, photographer, sketcher, and all around craft enthusiast. Her favorite color was blue.
Sara was always a lovely caring person who would stand up for her friends and often times strangers. She loved animals more than people. Sara enjoyed watching The Simpsons, Southpark, anime, Marvel and DC comics but her favorite was Wolverine. She played World of Warcraft and more recently, Yu-Gi-Oh! Her music taste was vast and ranged from 60s to current obscure bands. She was proud to be a Girl Scout and enjoyed fostering kittens through the League of Animal Protectors. Sara enjoyed learning about all cultures and attending fireworks shows on the Fourth of July and New Year’s Day. Her favorite quote was written by Thomas Jefferson “Life, Libery, and the pursuit of Happiness”.
Sara is preceded in death by her childhood cats, Mittens, Lucky; childhood pups, Playdo and Edie; and water dragons, Fergie and Taboo.
